Work on Reisterstown Road to Conclude by Friday, BGE Says

Construction along Route 140 near the Garrison Forest Plaza shopping center and the ensuing traffic pattern changes have caused delays.

Commuters frustrated by the new traffic patterns and resulting backups caused by Baltimore Gas and Electric construction along Reisterstown Road near Owings Mills Boulevard can expect that work to taper off by the end of this week, BGE says.

On Friday, Nov. 18, workers started repairs on an underground cable that supplies BGE’s Sudbrook Park Substation in Pikesville.

“The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday—assuming nothing unexpected occurs—and traffic patterns should return to normal soon thereafter,” said Rachael Lighty, a BGE spokeswoman.

In the meantime, BGE signs on Reisterstown Road and 695 continue to advise motorists to use Interstate 795 as an alternate means of travel.
