There was a slight increase in fire supression calls in 2011 in the area covered by the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company, statistics show.
The fire company was called to the scene of 2,342 fires in 2011, an increase of less than 3 percent from 2010, when the company responded to put out 2,283 fires.
In addition, company medics responded to 1,845 emergency services calls in 2011.
