Restaurant Week is actually more than a week long, running from Jan. 12 until January 21 in 36 participating restaurants around Baltimore County, a county statement said.
Three course lunch and dinner specials at participating restaurants run from $10.12 to $35.12, a county statement said. The price discounts could be a boon to the county's already thriving restaurant industry.
Baltimore County restaurant sales totalled $1.2 billion in 2011, the statement said, second in Maryland only to Montgomery County's $1.4 billion. Nearly 25,000 people are employed by county restaurants, County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said in the statement.
Kamenetz officially kicks off the week at 10:45 a.m. a day early, on Wednesday, at Liberatore's Ristorante in Timonium.
