UPDATE: City Police Officer Not Critical After 795 Crash
A Baltimore City Police officer sustained non-life threatening injuries after a motorcycle accident on I-795 Tuesday morning.
UPDATE, 12:23 p.m. Oct. 2: A Baltimore City Police officer was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries after an accident on his motorcycle on 795 in Owings Mills Tuesday morning.
The officer, who is assigned to the city police’s special operations section, was traveling north on 795 near Owings Mills Boulevard at 8:18 a.m. when his motorcycle struck the metal connecting portion of the roadway between the road and the overpass. His motorcycle began to sway back and forth, and to avoid striking other vehicles, he laid his motorcycle on its side, causing it to slide on the pavement, according to a Maryland State Police press release.
The officer, who has not been named, was on his way to training in Sykesville.
