Reisterstown Volunteer Vehicle, Camry in Traffic Accident on Main Street

A car was struck by a Reisterstown Volunteer vehicle Wednesday evening near the corner of Glyndon Drive and Reisterstown Road.

A gray Toyota Camry was hit by a Reisterstown Volunteer vehicle at about 5 p.m. Wednesday on Main Street.

Police, fire trucks and emergency teams responded to the scene, and traffic was blocked from Bond Avenue to Glyndon Drive for about one hour. The Camry caught fire and was extinguished by fire officials, witnesses said.

According to witnesses, the driver of the Camry was heading south on Main Street and making a left on Goldsborough Way, cutting in front of the northbound truck. The truck then struck the Camry on the driver's side.

No injuries have been reported.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering why traffic was backed up so badly yesterday and am glad that no one was hurt!

how could a southbound car making a left be hit on the driver's side by a northbound vehicle? the southbound car would have been hit on the passenger's side...something in the above article does not make sense
