Reisterstown Man Charged in Robbery, Assault
A Reisterstown resident was arrested and charged in an incident in which a woman was choked and punched.
A Reisterstown man was arrested and charged Tuesday after robbing a woman of her cell phone and choking and punching her, Baltimore County Police said.
Aaron Brian Smith Jr., 23, of the 12300 block of Bon Crest Drive in Reisterstown, was charged Tuesday with robbery and first-degree assault, according to Lt. Rick Landsman of the Baltimore County Police Franklin Precinct’s investigative services division.
Smith led an 18-year-old Baltimore woman into the woods near the unit block of Trout Brook Circle in Reisterstown at 5:25 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, choked her from behind, pushed her to the ground and punched her several times. Smith took her iPhone 4 and ran off, according to the police report.
Smith was in custody awaiting a bail review hearing on Tuesday afternoon, police said. He was arrested in June for disorderly conduct, indecent exposure and urinating in public, Landsman said.
