NONE of these places hold a candle to the JCC for an all round facility. I use Brick Bodies as a sub on the occasional Jewish Holiday JCC closing and its a poor substitute (where's the gym ??). (They USED to try to accommodate such JCC transients but now have upped the "day fee" to a ridiculous $$ level.)

Hey Fran, thanks for the input, but for this Readers' Choice, we are sticking with gyms that have permanent physical locations.

You can't beat Merritt. It's a Fitness Center in the truest sense. Great hours, clean locker rooms and equipment, and folks serious about fitness. I use to belong to JCC and Bally's. Hated the limited hours, the fact that all classes were not free with my membership and the ogling from male members.

No Limits is a great place. There kickboxing program is the best program I have ever done. I have done other programs and gyms before but have never gotten the results like I have in kickboxing. The facility is great, it has real kickboxing bags! Super clean, the instructors are very motivating. If you are looking for a program that really works try them out.
