ALWAYS CHECK THE BOYFRIEND"S FIRST. AT THAT AGE THEY THINK THERE IN LOVE AND ALWAYS WANT TO BE WITH THERE BOYFRIEND. IF THAT WAS MY DAUGHTER THAT WOULD HAVE BEN THE FIRST PLACE I LOOKED.

This.

Still, someone had to know, one of her friends, someone.
I mean, even if they were covering for her....the point when the police start asking around...its one thing to lie to her parents, something far more serious to lie to the police.

Where were the boyfriend's parents - that they would allow the girl at their house for several days? --especially considering it was Christmas?

As a parent of 9 children, it is our responsibility to know what our kids are doing, who they are hanging with, etc, remember we are the parents and the relationship should be at that! Respect and trust should be mutual but with more weight on the child!!

Holy crap. Seriously?

How much money was wasted on this 'search' exactly?

Scary enough in less than a year she'll probably be moved out and living with this "boyfriend". Hopefully she'll take the road less traveled instead.

Does this girl have any thought for her parents and extended family? Did she think this was funny? Was she punishing them for something? How old is the boyfriend? It is a shame that the county probably can't bring charges for "wasting police time."

I guess she got the attention she was looking for.

I'd ground her indefinitely, take away her phone, her car (if she has one) and a lot of other things. No more boyfriend for her. How irresponsible!

Nothing in the article about other charges pending. I can think of other charges the police might bring, beginning with custodial interference and moving on to more serious charges.

I would be pissed at that guy. She is 6 years younger than him and this has been all over the news. He is selfish. He should have told her to call her parents at the very least. I guess he is just as immature as she is. Thank Goodness she is unharmed and I am glad her parents can get some sleep too. I can not begin to imagine how they felt.

So confused...center for missing & exploited children got involved immediately- which you NEVER see, saying she was in grave danger. The family did know about her BF- police went to his apartment 3 times and he said he hadn't seen her. BCPD says she was never in danger...so likewise I'm wondering why all of the news hype and national attention. I'm wondering- is it possible her parents didn't like her BF and maybe exaggerated a bit to get the action they couldn't do themselves. There are small children that go missing- for real- and end up dead that don't get this press. Something just sounds SO off...

As I have commented elsewhere, there is clearly more to this story than just the bare facts. I hope that the situation is resolved in a way which is constructive, positive, and sensitive to the needs and concerns of all parties involved.

This is like the 4th or 5th false alarm of missing teenagers in the Baltimore area in the past several months. If these alerts are activated with frequency and without discretion they will be soon become like the shepherd boy's cries of " wolf ".

For all we know, the poor girl may have been trying to get away from her parents and her boyfriend is her rock. Not everyone has a warm loving family

Rock? It's crazy what some teenaged girls consider a warm fuzzy blanket. Enlarge the booking photo of her boyfriend and look at this dude. The ring around his neck looks like he is bleaching himself from the neck up. He’s got earrings kazoo. Looks like herpes festering in his one eye. Has some kind of metro sexual hairdo. I’m starting to think this dude is gay and was a good listener and warm shoulder to cry on. They’re good at that.

"Typical?" Typical of what? A teenage girl acting foolishly and selfishly? Sounds right. Not sure how it why anyone's race needs to come into play. Can't these site monitors do a better job, people should not be able to register a name instantaneously to make such ridiculous comments. I think everyone else was pretty much on the same page however...
