Police Blotter: Two Attempted Robberies, Car, Four-Wheeler, Golf Clubs Stolen
The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Attempted Armed Robbery
An unknown suspect approached a Baltimore resident and demanded money at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, in the stairway of an apartment building on the unit block of Straw Hat Road in Owings Mills. The victim struggled with the suspect, and a shot was fired, which hit the wall of the building. The suspect fled without taking any property from the victim, but left shoes behind.
An unknown suspect attempted to steal a 25-year-old’s cell phone and car keys at the 100 block of Caraway Road in Reisterstown at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3.
An unknown suspect stole a laptop from a home on the unit block of Austin Road in Reisterstown after breaking through a glass side window between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
An unknown suspect stole three bicycles, two golf bags and 20 golf clubs from an unlocked garage at a home on the 300 block of Garrison Forest Road in Owings Mills between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
An unknown suspect stole a Kawasaki 750 Brute Force four-wheeler from a shed at a property on the 16500 block of Trenton Road in Upperco between 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, and 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6.
An unknown suspect stole two watches and a 2007 Honda Odyssey after entering a garage through an unlocked side door at a home on the 300 block of Garrison Forest Road between 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, and 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
An unknown suspect stole a Yamaha dirt bike after forcing open a shed at a home on the unit block of Franklin Valley Circle in Reisterstown between 1 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
An unknown suspect stole a Huffy bicycle from a ground level apartment patio on the unit block of Brookebury Drive in Reisterstown between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
An unknown suspect entered vehicles that were sitting in the driveway of a home on the 300 block of Garrison Forest Road and went through center consoles but did not take anything between 11 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 4, and 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
Attempted Second-Degree Burglary
An unknown suspect cut three pad locks to the main door of a vacant apartment building at 3 Caraway Road in The Preserve at Owings Crossing and cut a copper water pipe once inside, flooding the basement, between August 22 and 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3. The building is uninhabitable due to a fire earlier this year.
