Police Blotter: Jewelry, Power Tools, Harley Davidson Stolen
The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Police confiscated illegal pyrotechnics from a vehicle that was involved in a crash on Monday, Aug. 20, at 9:56 p.m. at the intersection of Owings Mills Boulevard and Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills. Police found what appeared to be a pipe bomb in the backseat, and the hazardous device unit responded to the scene, according to Capt. Matt McElwee, commander of the Baltimore County Police Franklin Precinct. The pipe bomb was not live.
A woman destroyed property with bleach and stole a TV and PlayStation after using a key to enter her ex-girlfriend’s house on the 4600 block of Riverstone Drive in Owings Mills between 10:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.
An unknown suspect stole various jewelry after entering the unlocked front door of a home on the 16300 block of Trenton Road in Upperco between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20.
An unknown suspect ransacked the master bedroom and stole a jug containing U.S. and foreign currency from a safe after using a key to enter an apartment on the 100 block of Glyndon Drive in Reisterstown between 1:45 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19.
An unknown suspect stole a Porter cable drill, a DeWalt miter saw, five chainsaws, a Honda generator, a Tomas scooter, a 4000-watt generator, an Echo leaf blower and a Husky pressure washer from two detached sheds at a home on the unit block of Mason Court in Reisterstown. The suspect forced open a window on one shed and cut the padlock on the other between 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
An unknown suspect stole a Homelite 5700-watt generator after removing the padlock from a shed at a home on the unit block of Cedarmere Road in Owings Mills between 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
An unknown suspect stole a Harley Davidson motorcycle from a storage building on the 15300 block of Parrish Road in Upperco between 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23.
An unknown suspect stole a toilet, 150 feet of copper pipe and a garbage disposal from a property owned by the State of Maryland at 131 Westminster Pike in Reisterstown between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1, and 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24.
Gerald Dwayne Medley, of the 300 block of Cantata Court in Reisterstown, was arrested shortly after he was allegedly seen entering Reisterstown Baptist Church on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 8:30 p.m. He left after the alarm sounded and was arrested nearby, police said.
An unknown suspect gained access to a balcony of an apartment on the unit block of Richmar Road in Owings Mills and pried open the sliding glass door between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20. Nothing was reported taken.
An unknown suspect removed a girl's bicycle from the rear yard of a home on the 10800 block of Will Painter Drive in Owings Mills between 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
An unknown suspect attempted to enter a shed on the unit block of Cedarmere Road in Owings Mills by breaking a lock and door handle between 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22. Nothing was reported taken.
An unknown suspect attempted to enter the Home Depot in Owings Mills through an emergency exit at midnight on Monday, Aug. 20. No entry was gained.
An unknown suspect attempted to pry open the front door to the Flying Avocado Café in Owings Mills between 1:30 a.m. and 2:22 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25. A screwdriver was left behind.
