Police Blotter: Home Invasion, Student Robbed at New Town High, Welcome Mat Set Ablaze
The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills. Note that this blotter includes two weeks of incidents. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
An unknown suspect broke into a home on the 9300 block of Esplanade Court in Owings Mills while residents were home on Thursday, Dec. 22, between 5:20 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. The suspect entered the home, displayed a large silver handgun and stole a Heckler & Koch 9 mm handgun, Gucci watch, Breitling watch, Michelle Deco XL watch and a Louis Vuitton handbag. The suspect may know one of the victims.
Two 17-year-old male students at New Town High School followed another boy into the bathroom and took $30 and fruit snacks after going through his pockets on Friday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. The victim got away by running from the bathroom.
An unknown suspect set fire to a welcome mat in front of an apartment door in the 11900 block of Tarragon Road in Reisterstown on Saturday, Dec. 31, between 8 p.m. and 8:12 p.m. The fire spread minimally inside the apartment. Police have no suspects, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Franklin Precinct.
A 12-year-old male student was apprehended for burning a trashcan in the bathroom at Franklin Middle School on Tuesday, Dec. 20, between 9:26 a.m. and 9:29 a.m.
Grand Theft Auto
An unknown suspect stole a four-door black 2000 Lincoln LS form the 100 block of Enchanted Hills Road in Owings Mills. The car was reported stolen on Monday, Dec. 19, at 9 a.m.
Grand Theft/Fourth-Degree Burglary
Unknown suspects stole two Goldman commercial air conditioning units from Statements Hair Salon in Owings Mills after cutting a lock to a gated area between Saturday, Dec. 24, at 1 p.m., and Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 10 p.m.
Brandon Davon Lloyd, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested after entering his ex-fiancé’s apartment on the 100 block of Fitz Court in Reisterstown, using a key he had previously stolen. He was found in the bedroom on Monday, Jan. 2, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The keys and an LG mobile phone he had taken were recovered.
An unknown suspect entered a home on the 200 block of Chatsworth Avenue in Reisterstown and took two jackets and two Lionel train sets between Sunday, Jan. 1, at 3 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 2, at 6:30 a.m.
A tenant's ex-boyfriend came over to her apartment in the 11900 block of Tarragon Road to collect some letters, and forced his way in when she would not let him inside on Friday, Dec. 30. He took her Samsung mobile phone and left. The incident occurred between 9:10 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. The same apartment was the subject of an arson the next day, but police do not have suspects in the incident.
An unknown suspect kicked in the rear basement door of a home in the unit block of Bee Jay Court in Owings Mills and took an Xbox 360 and 15 games, jewelry, medicine, an AR-15 rifle and Heckler & Koch handgun, all valued at $6,920. The incident occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 28, between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
The owner of a home on the 300 block of Westminster Road came home on Tuesday, Dec. 27, to find his garage door half open, several other doors open and his Dell and Toshiba laptops missing. The incident occurred between 1:50 p.m. and 7:12 p.m. and there were no signs of forced entry.
An unknown suspect stole a 32-inch Philips TV and a 43-inch Samsung TV from an apartment in the 4400 block of Silverbrook Lane in Owings Mills between Friday, Dec. 23, at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 24, at 9 a.m.
An unknown suspect entered a home in the 100 block of Lowergate Court in Owings Mills by opening a screen to an unlocked window, took a Sony PS3 and left through the front door between Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 22, at 8 a.m.
An unknown suspect entered an unlocked home in the 13200 block of Maple Grove Avenue in Reisterstown and took jewelry, cash and a safe on Wednesday, Dec. 21, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
An unknown suspect pried open the front door of an apartment in the unit block of Tahoe Circle in Owings Mills and took a TV, jewelry and $1,500 cash on Monday, Dec. 19, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
An unknown suspect entered an apartment in the unit block of Straw Hat Road in Owings Mills by unknown means and took a Sony PS3, two controllers and Toshiba laptop, all valued at $1,100, on Monday, Dec. 19, between 8:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
