Photos: McDonogh's Cardboard Boat Regatta
Several creatively designed boats made of cardboard had their seaworthiness tested at McDongh School's decades-old annual boat race.
McDonogh's annual cardboard boat race has been an end of-the-year tradition for more than 20 years.
Teams of students spent three weeks constructing boats out of industrial grade cardboard, glue, tape and paint in a test of their knowledge of physics and engineering. Students competed for trophies such as "The Poseidon Adventure," for the best sinker, or the "BOB," given to the Best Overall Boat, among others.

It's crazy how the boat that came in first was not considered the best boat.
