Owings Mills Teen Robbed Using Basketball

Two 14-year-old tried to steal another 14-year-old's backpack after hitting him in the head with a basketball.

 

An Owings Mills teen was robbed of his backpack by two other teens after they threw a basketball at his head Sunday. He got the bag back with nothing taken from it, police said.

The Owings Mills teen, who is 14 and student at Old Court Middle School, was walking on Old Court Road at Winands Road at 6:19 p.m. Sunday when two other teens, both 14, struck his head with a basketball and took his backpack, police said.

He got the backpack back, and nothing had been taken from it.

Charges have not been filed, according to the police report. One of the suspects is from Windsor Mill, and the other from Randallstown.
