Owings Mills-Reisterstown Crime: Gun, Copper Pipes, Xbox Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills.

 

Owings Mills

Dorgate Road. 100 block. Between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 6. A burglar stole an Xbox system and controllers after kicking in the rear door. A related incident is listed below.

Ritters Lane. Unit block. Between 9:15 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Jan. 6. In an incident police believe to be related to the one above, a thief stole a Glock 22 40-caliber, a small metal safe and a Garmin GPS after breaking into the home through the rear basement door. The burglar forced open a gun cabinet and stole the gun safe from inside it.

Kearney Drive. 300 block. 6:10 p.m. on Jan. 5. Someone rang the doorbell then broke in through a rear door after prying it open and breaking the glass. The vandal may have entered the home, but nothing was taken.

Wilgate Road. 100 block. 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 30. An unknown vandal lit a wine bottle containing a flammable liquid at a vacant home. The police department's hazardous devices team responded to remove the bottle.

Reisterstown

Falls Road. 14000 block. Between 7:10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Jan. 3. A thief stole a large amount of jewelry after entering the home through unknown means.

Cherry Hill Road. 100 block. Between 7:10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Jan. 3. A burglar stole silverware from a dining room cabinet after gaining entry through an unlocked kitchen door.

Old Hanover Road. 13400 block. Between 2 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 31. A thief stole $300 worth of copper piping after entering the location through an unlocked rear sliding door.
