Owings Mills-Reisterstown Crime: Car Set On Fire, Gun Stolen

Owings Mills
Woodthorne Court. Unit block. 1:38 a.m. on Feb. 9. Someone placed a rag in the gas tank of a 2011 Chevy Equinox and set it on fire. The car was destroyed. Police believe the suspect is someone known to the victim, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct.
Pine Spring Lane. Unit block. Between 9:40 and 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 7. A burglar stole a Sig Sauer SP2340 .40-caliber, gun safe, jewelry and a jewelry box after entering the home through the back deck sliding door.
Sierra Circle. Unit block. Between 7:48 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. on Feb. 6. A burglar stole Armani glasses, a PlayStation 3 with remote, a Bluetooth earpiece and five PlayStation 3 games after entering the home through an unlocked rear sliding door.
Huntcliff Drive. 10900 block. Between 1 and 11 a.m. on Feb. 6. A burglar stole shoes, red Dr. Dre Beats headphones and a blue Gameboy DS from an apartment. It is not known how the burglar got in to the apartment since the only entrance is the front door and it did not appear that someone forced their way in.
Rosewood Drive. 200 block. Between 7 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 5. A burglar broke a large glass light bulb after entering though a rear door by unknown means.
Mill Center Drive. 11000 block. Between 3 p.m. on Feb. 3 and 9:41 a.m. and Feb. 4. The wife of the homeowner stole a watch, a wedding ring, a silver necklace, cologne bottles and poured bleach on the furniture, TV and clothing.
Avatar Lane. 4700 block. Between 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 31 and 3:45 a.m. on Feb. 1. Two burglars stole a Smith and Wesson .40-caliber pistol, various jewelry, a leather handbag and three pairs of jeans after entering through a rear window and ransacking the location. The burglars fled through the rear sliding glass door.
Reisterstown
Suburbian Road. 800 block. Between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 6. A burglar stole Aviator glasses, Under Armour glasses, Nike shoes and Ken Griffey shoes after entering the home through an unlocked basement window.
