Owings Mills Crime: Burglary Arrests, Watches, Rings Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

 

Owings Mills

Home Depot. 9818 Reisterstown Road. 2:28 a.m. on March 3. Two burglars pried open the side door to the tool rental section with a large crowbar and set of the store alarm. Video surveillance showed them leaving with two unknown tools.

Garrison Forest Road. 300 block. 12:04 a.m. on March 1. A burglar entered the home through an unlocked window and exited when the victim woke up.

Riverstone Drive. 4700 block. Between 9 a.m. on Feb. 17 and 4:36 p.m. on Feb. 28. Herbert Kaackm was charged with first-degree burglary after allegedly trying to sell merchandise stolen in a burglary. The suspect stole Casio G Shock Watches, Louis Voitten shoes, sunglasses and wallets and other watches from an apartment.

Windermere Court. Unit block. Between 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 27 and 1:35 a.m. on Feb. 28. A burglar entered through an unlocked basement door and stole jewelry, money and an iPad.

Pittson Circle. Unit block. Between 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 and 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 27. A burglar stole two pairs of shoes and a pair of pants after breaking in through unknown means. There were no signs of forced entry.

Fennington Circle. 100 block. Between 3:50 a.m. and 4:02 a.m. on Feb. 23. A known suspect attempted to break in to the location by kicking in a bedroom window. He then forced open the front door while victims attempted to hold it shut. He did not gain entry, and slashed the victim’s tires before fleeing. A warrant is out for his arrest.

Green Mountain Circle. Unit block. Between 6 a.m. on Feb. 9 and 10 a.m. on Feb. 23. A burglar entered the apartment on two occasions and stole 10 24-karat yellow gold rings, one 24-karat gold ring and a clear vase containing $300 in change.

Reisterstown

Tufton Ridge Road. 2200 block. Between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 27. A burglar stole a gold necklace and multiple watches after breaking the side panel glass on the front door.

Brookebury Drive. 100 block. 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 25. Richard Allen Johnson was charged with third-degree burglary after he was observed allegedly trying to break into a residence by prying open a sliding door.
