An Owings Mills church is holding a memorial service for the victims of the Aurora, CO, movie theater shooting that left 12 dead and 58 wounded last week.

The service at Doxa Ministries, at 9300 Lyons Mill Road, begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

“We all feel bad. We all hurt with our friends out in Colorado,” said the Rev. Gail Fiedler, the event’s organizer. “I may not know them personally, but they’re people and this is a tragedy that has happened and I feel like people, they want healing and they want answers.”

The service will include prayer, singing songs and a candle lighting, Fiedler said. All are welcome.
