Police Charge Two in 23 Armed Robberies in Baltimore, Anne Arundel Counties
Police charged two men whom they said are behind multiple armed robberies in Baltimore County, including Reisterstown and Randallstown.
Police have charged two men in a string of armed robberies throughout Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties, according to Capt. Matt McElwee, commander of Franklin Precinct Three.
Kyle Powell, 26, of the 1200 block of Madison Ave., and Michael Spencer, 27, of the 700 block of North Fremont Ave., both in Baltimore, were charged with 23 countes of armed robbery, McElwee said. They were arrested late Thursday in Towson by the Baltimore County Crime Investigations Department.
The two are responsible for robbing Domino's Pizza Feb. 6 in Reisterstown and the Oriole Pizza robbery in Randallstown two days later, as well other, similar shops and retailers in several jurisdictions, McElwee said.
The other crimes took place in Pikesville, Catonsville, Towson, Parkville, Essex and Baltimore, as well as jurisdictions in Anne Arundel County, he said.
The robbers' method, which McElwee recently described at a Police Community Relations Council meeting, was to wait until just before a store would close and then stage a violent robbery.
