I saw that something was going on that morning around 550am. I saw a guy on the ground and a bunch of cop cars!!!!

I urge everyone to keep your eyes and ears open, so you can call the police and report it as soon as possible. Don't confront anyone because your life is more important and your more valuable to the police as you let them know what you saw, heard and what is happening at the time it's called in.

Did they know each other or was this a random act?
Peopole in the area would like to know what they are dealing with here.

This was a random act. Shawn Parks has a history. In 2009 he attacked a woman while she was taking her child out of the car seat. In 2011, he had numerous minor run ins with the police. Earlier in the week, he was harrassing his neighbor. Luckily the employee turned the tables on him. I've heard that his bail has been revoked, but I wonder how long that will last.

He attacked a women getting her child out of car seat? How do you know that? I, too, looked up his record. He has a long history of violence, including a domestic violence dispute. A wife perhaps? His bail was probably provoked due to his history. I would say he is where he needs to be. In jail!!!

No. I know shawn he has been a long time friend of mine yes he has a past but do any of them say guilty. Can u all honestly say u have never fought anyone before? You have to know someone before u judge them. U only hear the one side of the story but what u dont hear is when the cops got there he was the one unconscious and beaten badly.

I think that everyone needs to have there facts right before posting.There is 2 sides to every story.The only story that were hearing is the Polices side not Mr.Parks.Mr Parks does have a history but if you can read he has never been found GUILTY.Mr Parks never Attacked a woman while getting her child out of the car so whoever u heard that from is WRONG....If Mr.Parks was standing there with a bat why in the world would the other guy get out of his car???Wouldn't you just call the cops and leave?Why get out? Something just doesn't make sense.Since both parties were taken to the hospital and both had injuries why wouldn't they have both been arrested not just one?

Yes Parks has been in trouble with the law.But there are 2 sides to every story.His side has not been told yet. Also alot of his other charges have been closed or dropped. and the ones that were not he paid for them. I don't walk into an office at 5:40 in the morning with a ski mask on and take a baseball bat to someone's head. And yes, he was found guilty of assault in the 2009 incident, check your facts. Seems when Mr. Parks doesn't take his medication, he gets violent and others pay for it. But I digress.

From what I hear, Mr. Parks is a violent, unpredictable person. Acts like this are not out of character for him. His friends can come on here and defend them all they want, but that won't mean anything in a court of law. Mr. Parks belongs behind bars, for a very long time and I hope that is just what he gets.

People who make comments about things that dont know about what happened . They just hear thru this one and that one or just hear one side of the story .Your no better than the next one who thinks they know it all.Have you ever heard the saying THERES TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY!!!! And it will be heard in a court of law So people really need to clean their own closets before they clean someone elses.

I personaly know the victim and he was at work at the time coming out of the office your friend attacked him as he came out your friend Shawn is or better find a new life in jail prettie sad to attack someone two times your age have him take the bat (that Shawn brought to kill this person) and get the fear of god but to him. If not in jail have him try the girlscouts instead of a hit man

how many people go to church at 5 or so in the morning with there bat, mask and bleach sure not to pray and bleach i guess that was to wash away his sins really i dont know any one that does that and ends up attacking a person and causing such damage and then call it a scuffle this guy needs mental help and jail

The community of Sacred Heart is praying for all parties involved in this unfortunate incident. The parish is run by good people who want peace in the neighborhood. Prolonging the issue won't help anyone.

I THINK MANDOMAN SEEMS TO KNOW ALOT ABOUT WHAT HAPPEN. MAYBE HE WAS THERE ALSO FROM WHAT I HEAR THERE WERE THREE FIGHTING .

Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? Seems to me there are a lot of opinions floating around and not so many facts!
Also, it seems the opinions left on here are based upon "Mr. Parks" past run -ins with the law... So that being said, until you KNOW the facts, keep your OPINIONS to yourselves! Let the authorities do their job (investigating) to prove who was at fault!

He brings a baseball bat onto property which he NEVER should have been and attacks an UNARMED gentleman that is at least twice his age. How is Parks the victim again??? And he brought bleach?? I guess he wanted to blind him first?? Parks planned this attack. This was not spontaneous or a "scuffle" this was a planned attack. I would be comfortable to say, Parks was going to kill this man and if he didn't get the bat away from Parks, he would have killed him. His charges should be attempted first degree murder. And if there are two sides to every story and the cops aren't "releasing" the truth, why is Parks the only one charged??? Because Parks is the instigator, and Parks is at fault. With any luck, the judge will see what a danger and non contributor to society this thug is - lock him up and throw away the key!!!!!

yes im sure shawn and his friend have there own version and believing in them and there lies and you have no clue what happened unless you was the third person hiding along with shawn and I dont think shawn was standing out in the open in the dark saying hey look at me im a dummy come and take my bat cause im wearing a mask and you cant see me and ill get you with my bottle of bleach if you try really people use what brain you have left from sniffing and or drugs thats cause you to be an idiot but it will come out third man or not and yes mike does work at church and so do the nuns and many others and there might be alot more come out other than just the dumb action of a board thug

To the Friends of Shawn Parks, if he ever gets out of jail, maybe you should take him into your home, since you are so sure he is such an up and up citizen. When he starts attacking your neighbors, you be sure and stand up for his character then.
