Man Charged in Owings Mills Beauty Shop Robbery
Police in Baltimore City arrested a man in connection with the September 17 armed robbery of a beauty shop in Owings Mills.
Baltimore City Police arrested a man Tuesday night in connection with an armed robbery of an Owings Mills beauty shop.
Lionel Perry, 21, was arrested on a warrant and is charged with armed robbery and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony.
According to police, Perry used silver semi-automatic handgun to rob Beauty 2 U, located on Groffs Mills Drive in Owings Mills, stole money and hair extension from the store on Monday, Sept. 17.
It was the eighth commercial armed robbery in the Owings Mills/Reisterstown area since August 8. Police believe five of the other seven commercial armed robberies are connected, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct.
The M&T Bank in Reisterstown at the Chartley Shopping Center was also robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday morning.
The Franklin Precinct has devoted additional resources to the commercial robbery trend, police said.
A mugshot will be available Thursday, police said.
