A armed man robbed the Main Street Citgo on New Year’s Eve, police said.
Around 5:55 p.m., a man with a silver handgun entered the gas station, located at 525 Main St. in Reisterstown, went behind the counter and pointed a handgun at an employee’s head and demanded money from the registers, police said. The employee complied, and the suspect fled on foot, according to Lt. R. Stroble of the Baltimore County Police Franklin Precinct.
The precinct’s K9 and aviation units responded to the scene, but did not locate the suspect, he said.
The gas station was robbed at gunpoint by two men on Dec. 10.

such a familiar occurrence in reisterstown now. we were on our way to Reters to have dinner, when we saw the helicopter circling and the police cars in the parking lots. Had to turn away, look for a safer place to eat dinner.

I saw this too. I was across the street at the Wawa and was shaken up when the overhead helicopter lights were shining down on my car. I too saw the police and canine across the street. I hope they catch the person.

You all are being dramatic. "Oh, I was so scared because there was a police car and helicopter in a place where I thought crime would never happen. I'm so scared!"

So when should people start being concerned? When the same gas station is robbed for the 3rd time? The 5th? The 10th? How about when someone is actually injured or killed in the commission of a robbery there? Would it be ok to worry about our safety then?

Most people expect a certain standard of living. Obviously you don't. Now go back to the ghetto.

You can worry about your safety whenever you please, but many of you come on here and are overly dramatic about it.

You know nothing about what I expect, CP. And, I don't live in the Ghetto. Thanks.

@Kaori. Show some kindness. If there is a gunman on the loose in someone's immediate area, there is cause for concern.

It is a shame an older neighborhood as Reisterstown has come to this. Now we must keep our doors locked 100% of the time, and even be concerned when we let our dog out at night.
