Main Street Citgo Robbed at Gunpoint

Police do not believe the robbery is connected with other crimes in the area.

Two men robbed the Main Street Citgo at gunpoint on Friday, Dec. 7, stealing cash before leaving the scene on foot.

At 7:46 p.m., two men walked into the gas station at 525 Main Street and one produced a grey handgun and demanded money. One man walked behind the counter and took cash that was sitting on a shelf under the counter, according to a Baltimore County Police report.

The men left the building on foot and ran towards the rear of the building.

Police don’t believe this robbery is connected with any others at this time.

“We had the [robberies] going back into the summer time, but it’s been a while since we’ve had any up there, especially with two suspects,” said Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct.

I thought that was an Exxon, not a Citgo?

I'll double check when I'm out driving around, but according to police it's a Citgo. I'm 99.9 percent sure it is too.

Hmm, a quick Maps search doesn't show a Citgo in Reisterstown. The placemark on your map is where Exxon is. Just confused me for a sec.

The placemark is correct. Citgo is across from Wawa. Maybe it was an Exxon in a past life.

Yes it is a Citgo, everyone needs to keep eye out every day, if you see something, CALL 911 right away and if you can get a tag#, that would help too. Crime in Reisterstown, comes from the city too by people visiting relatives here.

I was just at this Citgo on Saturday. I have noticed that the Wawa across the street has been parking empty patrol cars throughout the day. For the last 18 months it seems like every place I frequent in New Town/Reisterstown/Owings Mills has been robbed.
