Jimmy John’s Coming to Owings Mills

The sandwich shop’s first Baltimore County location is slated for a spring opening.

Owings Mills residents will have another sandwich option come springtime.

Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches will open its first Baltimore County location in Owings Mills Square in the former Tahina’s space, according to a press release.

The shopping center, anchored by Best Buy, also includes Noodles & Company, Qdoba and several other fast-food and casual dining options. It is located on Owings Mills Boulevard near the intersection of Reisterstown Road.

Jimmy John’s features around 20 different types of sandwiches, including subs, club sandwiches and slim sandwiches, the release stated.

Very exciting to see Jimmy John's in OM. But what happened to Tahina's. I love that place.

There was a sign in the window in mid-December that said Tahina's was closed due to equipment failure. When the sign was still up after the holidays I knew it was finished. They posted an update to their Facebook page in mid-January saying they were not closed permanently and were looking for a bigger and better location. I just hope they saved a lot of money because it seems it'd be awful hard to expand when your business hasn't generated any revenue for over a month.
