Home Invasion in Reisterstown Saturday

Two men forced their way into an apartment Saturday night and held down one of the residents and they robbed the other.

Two unknown suspects stole a cell phone, wallet and cash after forcing their way into a home in the unit block of Woodley Avenue in Reisterstown on Aug. 4.

The men forced their way into the apartment at 10:50 p.m. after a female resident answered their knocking on the front door.  One man held her on the bed while the other demanded money from the apartment’s male resident, according to a police report.

The male victim was struck several times with a gun before the suspects took his cell phone, wallet and cash. He refused treatment at the scene, police said.

Police are not sure if this incident is connected to three other armed robberies in the Owings Mills and Reisterstown area, the last of which occurred in May, according to Baltimore County Police Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Franklin Precinct.

“It appears that the couple, or at least one of the people inside, were targeted,” Doarnberger said.
