Franklin Graduates Talk College, Friends and the Future

Before walking across the stage Wednesday night, Franklin High graduates spoke to Patch about college, the future and what they're going to miss about high school.

This fall, Haley Hyman will be a student at James Madison University. There, she said she is looking forward to meeting new people and starting her career. In 10 years, Hyman sees herself as a lawyer with a family. However, as she graduates from Franklin High School, Hyman knows she is leaving a lot behind. “I’m going to miss my friends and the familiar faces.”

Reflecting on his time in high school, Cory Colbert complimented his classes and teachers at Franklin. He hopes to attend Stevenson University in the fall, and would like to major in biology with the intention of helping animals. “I’m excited about going towards the future,” he said as he prepared to graduate. Kiana Logan cannot wait to be a student at Towson University in a few months, where she will major in electronic media and film. However, Logan’s real passion is dance, which she would like to pursue as well. In 10 years, Logan wants to be married with children. While excited about her future, Logan also recalled the good times she had at Franklin. “I am going to miss seeing my friends every day and not having a care in the world.” Credit Dustin Levy
Zach Friedman, surrounded by friends, praised the environment he became so accustomed to at Franklin High School. Headed to CCBC in the fall, Friedman hopes his education will help him start a career in electrical engineering. Despite these career goals, Friedman imagines his future much differently. Lexus Wicks plans to be a psychology major at Penn State-Altoona. Although she is going to miss her teachers and friends at Franklin, Wicks is looking forward to college and the changes that come with it. She imagines herself focused on helping others in 10 years. “I’ll be working with special needs kids I hope.” Credit Dustin Levy

college days are our most precious moments in life. We have fun and share our secrets with friend. Later on leaving we ought to take a good decision on what we plan to be in future and do in future. Thank you keep sharing
