Firefighter Honored for 70 Years of Service
Bill Howard was honored at the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company's annual meeting Monday evening.
The Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company named a room in its firehouse after a longtime member during its annual meeting Monday evening.
Bill Howard, a Navy veteran who has been a member of the volunteer fire company for 70 years, was presented with a plaque that will hang in the firehouse meeting room.
"We thank you for your dedication, friendship, guidance and years of extraordinary service and unparalleled commitment to the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company," the plaque reads.
Howard, 89, graduated from Franklin High School and still lives in Reisterstown.
