I'd much rather have a Wegmans in Owings mIlls than one more unsightly empty lot growing weeds. If the traffic pattern needs to be altered to accommodate the Wegmans and the other stores planned, so be it. The traffic pattern as it is , in a word, sucks.

Use of innappropriate words and language on this site seems to be on the rise. This usually indicates a lack of knowledge of the English language, or, disrespect for the folks on the site. Please Keep It Clean !
As for Wegmans, I'm in favor.

There are several reasons for not putting a Wegmans where the old Solo was . First, it is next to a shopping area with a Giant and down the street from the Safeway. The Wegmans is billed as a way to provide more jobs. How will that happen if you put another supermarket in the area where 2 are already competing. That will cause the 2 to lose business resulting in people losing their jobs. Look at what happened to Shoppers.

Second, Reiesterstwon Road cannot accommodate the traffic. To fix the situation would take some planning. Then we would have to endure construction which would further exacerbate the situation.

I agree that we don't want a lot full of weeds. We need to think this through and hold several public hearings and provide all the facts. Also if we really want a Wegmans we can put it the mall. That place needs a pick up.

Giant and Safeway are a no go for us.
We travel down to the Wegmans in Hunt Valley atleast once a week.
Much better food that is fresher and tastier.
