An unarmed man tried to rob the Royal Farms in Reisterstown on Wednesday, Nov. 21, according to a Baltimore County Police report.

“He brought a package up to purchase, and when the clerk opened the register he tried to grab the money, but she struggled with him,” Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct. “He wasn’t able to get anything and fled the store.”

The man entered the store, at 15 Hanover Road, at 2:20 a.m. One employee suffered two minor cuts to her hand as she and the suspect struggled over possession of the register, according to a police report.

“There was another employee inside who was in the back, and he came towards the front and might have scared him off,” Doarnberger said.
