A Pet, Livestock Killed in Farm Fire Near Owings Mills

Firefighters extinguished a two-story dwelling fire in the 10800 block of Greenspring Avenue Monday.

 

Chickens and a family cat were killed in a chicken coop fire near Owings Mills Monday.

Firefighters responded to the two-story building fire near the intersection of Greenspring Avenue and Greenspring Valley Road in Lutherville-Timonium at 11:48 a.m. Teams from various companies managed to quell the fire at 12:30 p.m., according to spokeswoman Julia Hargrove.

No one—aside from the animals—was harmed by the fire, she added.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. A full investigation is underway.
